Raiders establish a dual-registration collaboration with Wigan Warriors.

Barrow Raiders are thrilled to announce a dual-registration alliance with the reigning World Club Champions, Wigan Warriors.

The club extends gratitude to director of rugby Andy Gaffney for his dedicated efforts alongside Wigan in finalizing this partnership.

Head coach Paul Crarey has fostered a strong rapport with Wigan’s head coach Matt Peet and reserves coach John Duffy.

During times of injury, Wigan has offered significant assistance, entrusting our club and coaching staff with some of their most promising young talents.

Positive feedback from the Wigan players indicates their satisfaction during their tenure at Barrow, with both them and their families well-supported.

This collaboration between the Raiders and Warriors will provide Wigan’s transitional players with the chance to gain further valuable and regular first-team experience, aiding in their rugby league development.

As per the agreement, when a Wigan player engages in dual-registration with Barrow, they will have the opportunity to train and play with both clubs. However, they are limited to participating in one fixture per scheduled round of fixtures in any given week and cannot represent both Barrow and Wigan twice in the same weekend.

Wigan’s commitment to their community, both within rugby league and beyond, is evident, reflecting shared values that define them as an outstanding brand. We eagerly anticipate a fruitful and enduring partnership.o
