Together, Netflix and Skydance Sports will produce a definitive documentary series that follows Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys.
For an upcoming documentary series, Netflix has partnered with NFL Films, Skydance Sports, and Stardust Frames Productions. The series will tell the definitive story of Jerry Jones and his remarkable journey of turning the Dallas Cowboys franchise around, coaching and player-leading a historic group of players to three NFL titles in the 1990s, and leaving a lasting impression on the world of sports business. With the Cowboys currently the most valuable sports team in the world, Jones has developed into one of the most creative and significant figures in sports leadership.
The series is produced by Skydance Sports in association with NFL Films and Stardust Frames Productions, with executive producers David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, Jon Weinbach, Ross Ketover, Ken Rodgers, Jessica Boddy, Keith Cossrow, Chapman and Maclain Way, and John Skipper.
The ten-episode series will delve into “America’s Team” using never-before-seen footage and interviews with Jerry Jones, the longtime owner, president, and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys; some of the greatest players of the 1990s, including Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, and Deion Sanders; head coaches Barry Switzer and Jimmy Johnson; and prominent members of pop culture and politics, including former President George W. Bush and Phil Knight, the creator of Nike.
