As the Jacksonville Jaguars and Mayor Donna Deegan prepare to announce a deal to renovate the 29-year-old EverBank Stadium, the football team’s ownership announced on May 2 and May 9 the competitive selection of four more companies that responded to sealed bids for work on the proposed “Stadium of the Future.
A framework for the agreement is scheduled to be presented to Jacksonville City Council on May 14.
According to the bid invitations, all components of the construction project are contingent on the Jaguars and the city reaching an agreement on a lease amendment.
Jacksonville Jaguars LLC issued public announcements that they want to discuss contracts with the top-ranked respondents to the four calls for bids.
