Four players from the University of Alabama football team have been selected for the Walter Camp Preseason All-America teams.
The Alabama Crimson Tide are represented on the 2024 Walter Camp Football Foundation Preseason All-America Teams by two returning players and two incoming transfers.
With the start of Alabama football’s eagerly awaited inaugural season under new head coach Kalen DeBoer drawing near, organizations are starting to compile Preseason All-American rosters.
On Monday, the Walter Camp Football Foundation unveiled its list, featuring four standout Crimson Tide players across two teams: offensive lineman Tyler Booker (First Team), placekicker Graham Nicholson (First Team), center Parker Brailsford (Second Team), and punter James Burnip (Second Team).
Alabama had four players named, trailing only Ohio State (5) for the most of any team in the country. Notre Dame also had four players, while Georgia and Michigan each had three.
Tyler Booker played a crucial role on Alabama’s offensive line, earning First Team All-SEC honors from the Associated Press and Second Team All-SEC recognition from conference coaches. He has been vocal about Coach DeBoer’s arrival and the development of his teammates, expected to assume a leadership role once again.
Graham Nicholson transferred to Alabama from Miami (OH) on April 21. In 2023, he won the Lou Groza Award after making 27 of 28 field goal attempts and converting 35 of 37 extra points. He joins the Crimson Tide to replace veteran kicker Will Reichard and has one season of eligibility remaining. Nicholson is among the 16 players on the 2024 preseason list who also earned 2023 Walter Camp All-America First and Second Team honors.
