The 2023–24 Magic Johnson Award recipient is Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, the Professional Basketball Writers Association revealed on Wednesday.

As per the organization, the award is given to an NBA player who performs not just on the court but also in exhibiting “cooperation and grace in dealing with the media and fans,” and is chosen by over 200 journalists and editors who are members of the PBWA.

Curry, who also won in 2016, is receiving his second Johnson award. The other two-time champions are Damian Lillard (2017, 2020) and Shane Battier (2007, 2013).

Since the Warriors selected the 36-year-old Curry with the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft, he has nearly won every award in his 15 seasons. Among his many accolades are two league MVP awards, four NBA championships, ten All-Star selections, four All-NBA first-team selections, and membership in the league’s 75th Anniversary Team.

Curry received the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award, the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Trophy, and the title of Social Justice Champion for the 2022–2023 season.

Curry won Clutch Player of the Year in 2023–24 after averaging 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists.
