The renovated facility, to be named *The Comer House of Hope*, will provide safe housing, counseling, education, and job training resources for individuals ages 14 to 24 who are experiencing homelessness or unstable living conditions.
“I’ve always believed that every young person deserves a safe place to call home,” said Comer during a press conference Tuesday morning. “This investment is not just in bricks and mortar — it’s in the future of our community.”
The shelter will feature 30 residential units, common living spaces, classrooms, therapy rooms, and on-site support staff available 24/7.
