Tiger Woods’ Ex-Coach Drops Controversial PGA Tour Take.

Hank Haney, the former coach of Tiger Woods, recently gained notoriety for remarks he made about the PGA Tour’s current situation. Regarding the Rocket Mortgage Classic, Haney made the contentious statement that winning there is “easier than” winning on the PGA Tour.

“Not one member of the Corrupt Golf Media has written an article or talked about how it’s easier than ever to win on the PGA Tour, which is one of the many reasons why they are charter members of the CGM,” Haney stated on X.
From 2004 to 2010, Haney was Woods’ golf coach. Working with Haney helped Woods win 31 PGA Tour titles and six major championships.

Online golfers responded to Haney’s analysis, expressing apparent outrage over the contentious statement. Although Haney didn’t provide much justification for his belief that the PGA Tour is “easier than ever,” supporters weren’t about to let him get away with it.

“How is it less complicated? One fan remarked, “You still have to beat a field of 144.”

There was a lot of fan debate over the relative importance of LIV Golf against the PGA Tour. On X, Haney’s social media remark has received more than 200 comments and more than 170,000 views.
