The Incredible Hulk” star Lou Ferrigno‘s wife, Carla Ferrigno, has officially filed for divorce. She accused Lou of trapping her in their marriage and being extremely abusive.

The shocking divorce filing comes days after the actor and fitness star sued their oldest daughter, Shanna, claiming she’s “financially exploiting” her mom and turning her against him.

Lou has responded by saying his only care is for Carla’s health and asking for privacy for his family.

In a shocking turn of events, Carla Ferrigno filed for divorce from her husband and “Incredible Hulk” star Lou Ferrigno shortly after the actor sued their daughter, Shanna, for allegedly committing “elder abuse.”

As previously reported by The Blast, Lou claimed their daughter was taking advantage of Carla’s “advanced dementia” to access her money. In response to his claims, Carla herself has accused the actor of cutting her off from their joint accounts and physically restricting her from family and friends.

In a signed declaration, the 74-year-old former actress accused Lou of having an affair with a mistress named Lisa, whom he constantly flaunts in her face.

According to the documents, she writes, “While his infidelity may not be abuse, when I get upset with him about her being around, he physically intimidates me, by getting into my face and using his much larger size—he will remind everyone that he is the Hulk—compared to my slight stature, to scare and control me into submission.

Lou responded to the claims by releasing a statement to The Blast through his lawyers, Laura Hoffman and Vatche Zetjian.

It read, “Lou Ferrigno’s priority remains his wife’s welfare. All of the restraining orders recently mentioned in the press have been suspended upon mutual agreement of the parties.”

In the statement, Lou asked for privacy for their family as they have “agreed to mediate” and hopefully “reach an amicable resolution.”

Carla’s lawsuit includes allegations that Lou often locked her in their home and restricted her movements to the bedroom and kitchen. She alleged that the actor has refused to install traction on the stairs or a pool fence for her protection.

In her recent filings, Carla confirmed that her doctors had diagnosed her with dementia, which Lou had previously revealed in court.

However, she claims the medical condition has not influenced her decision to end their marriage. Her doctor and attorney have supported this statement and say that Carla has been open about her desire to divorce Lou for years.

They also confirmed that she has the mental capacity to make and understand that decision. Her attorneys wrote, “Lou decided to hatch what can only be described as a Machiavellian scheme to try to trap Carla in the marriage so that he can hold on to all the assets Carla and Lou accumulated throughout their 43-year marriage.”

Lou and Carla were married under California marriage law, which means all their joint assets would be equally split. This includes the $2.9 million mansion they Co-own in Arroyo Grande, California. This mansion is reportedly a big issue for Lou and is the alleged reason he’s trying to prevent Carla from going through with the divorce.
