No One Is Dreading This God Forsaken Super Bowl More Than Raider Nation It’s been a rough couple of decades for the Raiders and this is rock bottom…

I prayed to the heavens that this wouldn’t happen but here we are. I, like many others, spent the whole week watching Lamar Jackson hype videos, hoping that the likely NFL MVP could save Raiders fans, like myself, from seeing the Kansas City Chiefs play the Super Bowl 2024 in Las Vegas.

This was supposed to be the bad year for the Chiefs! Instead, Jackson and the Ravens laid a total egg on the national stage and now we get to see Patrick Mahomes plastered all over the Raiders’ city… This is hell.

Surely, Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions would save us from the nightmare matchup of a Chiefs-49ers NFL Super Bowl. For a long time, it looked like he would. The Lions went into halftime with a 24-7 lead and it looked like Luke Skywalker was about to beat Darth Vader on his way to taking down the Emperor.

The Lions folded under the pressure and lost 34-31. Look, I actually don’t care about the 49ers but I know my friends who are Raiders fans from the Bay Area absolutely hate the 49ers even more than the Chiefs. This is just the worst possible scenario all around.

Raider Nation now has to watch two of its biggest rivals stroll into their city and play in the biggest sporting event in the country. Super Bowl odds don’t even matter to Raiders fans as we hope there’s a way both teams can somehow lose

Sadly, that’s not the case and now we have to watch NFL news talk about these two teams playing in Las Vegas. It doesn’t get much worse for a fan base that hasn’t won a playoff game since 2002. To make things even worse, we had this same matchup just a few years ago. At least that wasn’t in the Raiders’ home stadium. Honestly, I might even skip watching the Super Bowl this year. Watching Taylor Swift’s reaction to every Travis Kelce catch might send me into a spiral I will never get out of.

If there was ever a way to motivate a franchise, this is it. New head coach Antonio Pierce spoke about how he wants fans from other teams to stay away from Allegiant Stadium. Well, now the Raiders have to welcome them with open arms. It’s been a rough couple of decades for the Raiders and this is rock bottom. Hopefully, things only get better from here.
