The Dallas Cowboys made a move in the 2024 NFL Draft, addressing a need by selecting Tyler Guyton, an offensive tackle from the Oklahoma Sooners, with the 24th overall pick. Guyton, a Texas native, impressed at Oklahoma, where he demonstrated exceptional blocking skills. Impressively, he did not allow a single sack in 355 passing plays in his final year.
Standing tall at 6 feet 7 inches and weighing 327 pounds at just 21 years old, Guyton brings a physical presence to the field, and has versatility having primarily played right tackle but with experience on the left side as well. At the NFL Scouting Combine, Guyton further solidified his potential with standout performances, including a 40-yard dash time of 5.19 seconds and a vertical jump of 34.5 inches, ranking fifth overall.
