With his team’s miserable start to the season, Erik ten Hag is facing mounting pressure as he deals with new rumours of a revolt in the Manchester United locker room.
A rift has emerged in Manchester United’s locker room as several players no longer have faith in manager Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils have had a terrible season, finishing eighth in the Premier League and elimination from both the Carabao Cup and the Champions League. Ten Hag has faced a great deal of criticism for his team’s poor performance this season.
Now that Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be in charge of all football affairs at Old Trafford, the pressure is increasing. After just eighteen months as United’s manager, Ten Hag now seems to be fighting a revolution within the players’ locker room.
The Athletic claims that Ten Hag’s players started to “groan” because they had too little time and were required to work too much during the preseason. Those murmurs of dissatisfaction are said to have grown into a loss of ‘trust and confidence’ in the Dutchman.
According to the source, several of United’s players believe the strategic study the Glazers carried out has not benefitted them, and they have complaints about the way the club has been governed. However, not every person in the changing room feels the same way.
Though he hasn’t been able to inspire a turnaround, some people still strongly support the Dutchman. However, some people do not agree with Ten Hag’s methods of imposing his will at Old Trafford.
