Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones held a news conference prior to the 2024 NFL Draft in which the team from Texas will select 24th overall in the first round.

The Cowboys will attempt to get back to the top with the reinforcements they can add, according to Jones, when the Draft takes place this Thursday, April 25, in Detroit, Sports Illustrated reported.

The Cowboys have been under continual criticism in the current free agency class for trading players like Tony Pollard and Tyron Smith to other clubs and failing to disclose the projected terms of Dak Prescott’s and CeeDee Lamb’s deal extensions.

Faithful and enduring There’s a lot of dissatisfaction among Cowboys fans because they believe their club is being disregarded while the other NFL teams are utilizing free agency.

Days before the Draft, Jones, who was mostly in charge of personnel movements, attempted to justify his plan following the excruciating playoff elimination at home against the Green Bay Packers.

“We take great pride in this roster. We are really optimistic about this roster’s potential for the upcoming season. We are rather pleased with the people we have become in free agency. “We’re all in,” Jones remarked, sparking a plethora of inquiries.

“Everyone is in favor of these young people’s coming. We all concur with this draft,” Jones stated in a clear-cut, persuasive statement that does not allow room for interpretation.

The signing of linebacker Eric Kendricks to a $3 million, one-year contract was the team’s most significant addition.
