Because of Manchester United’s winter break, Andre Onana might be able to attend the Africa Cup of Nations and return to Old Trafford without missing a single match.
Although Andre Onana is going to the Africa Cup of Nations, he might not have to miss a Manchester United match.
Onana has been picked to play for Cameroon in the AFCON, but he won’t be going there right now with the rest of the team. Rather, all sides have decided to let Onana play on Sunday, January 14, against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and Wigan in the FA Cup third round before he quickly takes off for the Ivory Coast.
The Athletic reports that Cameroon is optimistic Onana will be able to play for them against Guinea on January 15. But Onana might return to the UK for United’s next Premier League matchup against Wolves on February 1 if Cameroon fails to advance from their group.
