Spencer Rattler will be making his second consecutive start Thursday night, as the Saints rookie fills in for an injured Derek Carr.
Last week, Rattler threw for 155 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions as New Orleans dropped a game to the Buccaneers for the team’s fourth straight loss.
Thursday’s game will mark the first time that Rattler gets to play in front of a national audience, as last week’s matchup came during the 1 p.m. ET broadcast window. It will be also mark Rattler’s second home game, as New Orleans hosted the Buccaneers last weekend.
The 24-year-old QB will continue to introduce himself to the NFL as the Saints take on the Broncos, but he’s already a familiar face to many football fans thanks to his college career. The Sporting News examined Rattler’s career history ahead of “Thursday Night Football.”
