Brandon Williams, a defender on loan from Manchester United, made fun of Marcus Rashford following the winger’s first goal of the season at Old Trafford.

In the Theatre of Dreams match against Tottenham Hotspur, Rashford scored United’s second goal after deftly placing the ball over Guglielmo Vicario’s diving attempt. Unfortunately for the Reds, Rodrigo Bentancur’s goal just seconds into the second half meant that the points were shared.

The 26-year-old’s goal on Sunday marked the conclusion of a dismal run of home goals against goal. Remarkably, on May 25, Rashford scored his final goal at Old Trafford as the Reds defeated Chelsea 4-1.
Rashford obviously felt relieved to score at home because he posted a picture of the occasion on Instagram. He said: “It’s a great feeling to have scored again at Old Trafford.”I’d want to express my gratitude to the supporters of the team and myself.” As players like Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund welcomed the forward, Williams used the occasion to make light of his colleague.

Replying, the current Ipswich Town defender wrote: “You remembered where the net was at Old Trafford? We are finally winning the league.”

Williams has spent this season alongside former United assistant Kieran McKenna at Portman Road as the Tractor Boys push for promotion to the Premier League. The 23-year-old has made 17 appearances for the Championship team so far, scoring two goals.

Williams was a regular in September and October, but his playing time has declined recently, and he is currently Suffolk’s sporadic starter.
