Staff at Manchester United isn’t sure they should sign a Premier League player for £60 million.

Some Manchester United employees are not persuaded that the team should sign Michael Olise, a star player for Crystal Palace.

ESPN journalist Mark Ogden claims that the reason the United staff thinks that way is because their past attempts to sign Crystal Palace players Wilfried Zaha and Aaron Wan-Bissaka did not pan out.

The right-winger position is open for signing for Erik ten Hag’s squad. Playing in that position, their high-priced acquisition Antony has not contributed a single goal this season. On the left wing, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford are more productive possibilities.

Olise, who can provide the Red Devils with the production they require from the right side of their attack, is apparently interested in joining.

According to Ogden, some United officials are concerned that the 22-year-old would be transferred.

In an interview with ESPN FC, Ogden stated:

The writer stated, “At this time, I believe the Premier League is where he is best suited, and he would be a good fit for United.”

Nonetheless, Palace has produced players for United in the past. Wan-Bissaka and Wilfried Zaha haven’t exactly been able to transition from Palace to United.

“Some at United are concerned that Olise might be another who falls into that category.”

After relocating from Reading to Selhurst Park in 2021, Olise has excelled for the Eagles ever since.

Throughout the summer, Chelsea showed interest in the Frenchman as well, but in the end, he decided against going to Stamford Bridge and instead inked a new deal with Palace.
