Manchester United misfit Jadon Sancho has returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 23-year-old winger alleged on social media in September that he was being used as a “scapegoat” after manager Erik ten Hag stated he wasn’t good enough to play for Arsenal.
Sancho will train apart from the first team group “pending resolution of a squad discipline issue,” United later announced; however, a manager-player agreement was never achieved.
After being exiled for the previous four months, the England international has temporarily returned to Dortmund in order to launch his career in a familiar environment.
“It felt like ‘coming home’ when I walked into the changing room today,” Sancho, who signed a £73 million contract to join United in 2021 after leaving the Bundesliga, said.
“I’ve always been very close to the fans here, and I’ve never lost contact with the people in charge. I know this club inside and out.”
