The acquisition of Benjamin Sesko, a striker for RB Leipzig, has given Manchester United a major boost.
The Slovenian international has long been admired by the Red Devils, who initially expressed interest in bringing him away from Red Bull Salzburg.
The youthful attacker, nevertheless, decided to stay at sister club RB Leipzig to further his career. Although he joined them last summer, he might be leaving shortly.
According to German journalist Philipp Hinze, there is a €50 million release clause in Sesko’s Leipzig contract that will go into effect in the summer.
Man Utd given a fantastic opportunity to sign Sesko
Leipzig and Sesko came to a pre-agreement in the summer of 2022. He signed on with them in July of last year, but he hasn’t yet established himself as a regular starter.
The Bundesliga team has frequently used a two-man front line, but Sesko has lagged behind Lois Openda and Yussuf Poulsen in the standings.
Despite this, he has left a positive impact, scoring seven goals in just 23 matches and 765 minutes. For Leipzig, he scores a goal approximately every 109 minutes.
Several top European clubs will be keeping a close eye on him. We think United should use the buy-out clause to jump for his services this summer.
With his greater potential, he would be a far better signing than Joshua Zirkzee for the same amount of money.
Sesko’s athleticism, vigour, and capacity to push have impressed. With regular playing time, he has the ability to score goals and might develop into an excellent striker.
He appears to be the ideal counterbalance to Rasmus Hojlund in the front row at United. If Erik ten Hag chooses a 4-4-2 configuration, we might also witness the two players playing together.
