Goncalo Ramos, a striker for Paris Saint-Germain, could be tried to be signed by Manchester United this month on a loan with a buyout option.

Due to Financial Fair Play restrictions, Manchester United is only able to add players on loan this month in an effort to bolster their attacking lineup.

Despite his recent success, Rasmus Hojlund has not yet made an impact. The Red Devils now have the opportunity to recruit Goncalo Ramos, a striker for Paris Saint-Germain, after missing out on him in the summer.

The Portugal international has fallen out of favour under manager Luis Enrique, thus PSG may be inclined to transfer him this month if a decent offer is made in the next nine days, according to French publication L’Équipe.

Although Man United is now unable to spend the $69 million for the hitman, the Red Devils may be able to get the Ligue 1 team to work with them by proposing a loan agreement with the chance to make the move permanent.

This season, in 14 games in all competitions, the 22-year-old has only managed four goals, mostly because he hasn’t been given much playing time.

In his final season with Benfica, Ramos scored 19 goals in the league. He gained notoriety in 2022 when he scored a hat-trick against Switzerland at the 2022 World Cup, coming on in Cristiano Ronaldo’s place.

A loan move will allow Man United to consider their options before the end of the season, as they may use such a player in their ranks.

After falling out of favour at PSG, Ramos is anxious to prove his critics wrong. Should a transfer to the Theatre of Dreams materialise, the Red Devils will be getting an eager and driven player.

He has good finishing ability and is a serious aerial threat, and Man United needs a forward with similar attributes in their assault.

Anthony Martial has already been sidelined by manager Erik ten Hag due to injury, and with players like Antony and Marcus Rashford also having trouble, adding Ramos to the team to provide much-needed competition and cover could help improve their lacklustre campaign.
