Erik ten Hag is the “target” in a swap transaction that Manchester United has approved.

The most recent transfer rumours coming out of Old Trafford concern Denzel Dumfries, an Inter Milan player, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jadon Sancho, and Antony.

Inter Milan is open to proposing to Manchester United, in exchange for Aaron Wan-Bissaka during the January transfer window, a trade involving Denzel Dumfries. That’s in light of ongoing rumours over the two right-backs’ futures, according to claims from The Sun.

Erik ten Hag is believed to adore the Netherlands international, who has been linked to United in the past. With just 18 months remaining on his deal with the Italian powerhouses, the 27-year-old is in a similar situation to United with Wan-Bissaka. As of right now, there is no indication of a breakthrough.

The Sun article claims that Inter would be willing to use Dumfries as a makeweight in any potential deal in order to lure former Crystal Palace player Wan-Bissaka to the San Siro. Dumfries is rumoured to be demanding a large pay increase, but Inter is supposedly refusing to go above £35,000 per week.

It appears that the contract standoff has made a move possible. Since former Ajax manager Ten Hag was appointed last summer, United has been looking for a new right-back. Diogo Dalot is now United’s top pick in that position, but 26-year-old Wan-Bissaka is a viable alternative.

In other news, The Evening Standard claims that United is prepared to profit from Jadon Sancho and Antony, and they are open to bids for the two players from Saudi Arabia. The 23-year-old Sancho is anticipated to depart Borussia Dortmund permanently in the summer after returning on loan during the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, Antony’s future is unclear. Like Sancho, his time at Old Trafford has not exactly gone as planned, and United is reportedly thinking about its possibilities for a departure plan.

According to the publication, they will each be offered for £50 million. Within a year of Sancho’s £72.9 million arrival at United from Dortmund in 2021, Ten Hag signed Antony.
