Erik ten Hag and Manchester United issued two very strong sales messages during the January transfer window.

With the January transfer window being open, Erik ten Hag has a lot of transfer-related decisions to make.

Regarding their sales policy during the January transfer window, Manchester United supporters have made their feelings very plain. Because of the Financial Fair Play (FFP) constraints that followed United’s extravagant summer expenditure, this month’s focus is more on outgoings than incomings.

After a number of United players were connected to moves away from Old Trafford in recent weeks and months, we asked readers of the Manchester Evening News whether they would sell or keep the players.

Thousands of Reds expressed their opinions using our tool (give it a try below), and they were clear in their assessment of two of United’s attackers.

United should sell Anthony Martial, according to a resounding 95.6% of respondents to the questions about whether to keep or sell. The French striker’s bad form, injuries, and illnesses have left supporters unhappy as he has failed to continually display the promise that Manchester United saw in him in 2015.

Furthermore, our poll reveals that more than 86 percent of respondents would prefer to see Dutch winger Antony sold. He hasn’t yet lived up to the hefty £86 million transfer fee that United paid Ajax to sign him, which was paid soon after Erik ten Hag joined the team.

On the other hand, with nearly 71 percent of United supporters endorsing full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, it is certain that they want him to remain at Old Trafford. Notwithstanding his inconsistent play this season, almost 70% of supporters believe Marcus Rashford should continue at United, while another 66% want to see young player Amad stay and compete for a spot in the starting lineup.

Supporters’ opinions on several other players are divided; Casemiro, Scott McTominay, Raphael Varane, and Harry Maguire each received about 50% of the vote.
