Paul Ince thinks Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho has the potential to succeed Ryan Giggs after the young player made a major splash this season.
Alejandro Garnacho, in Paul Ince’s opinion, has the skill to ensure that Manchester United does not require Jadon Sancho.
Additionally, Ince believes Garnacho is so talented that he could be Ryan Giggs’ natural successor at United. Sancho was loaned back to Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of the season after his disastrous £73 million deal to United.
However, Ince believes Garnacho is United’s future and has the potential to be just as influential as one of the team’s all-time greats. Giggs, who played a record 963 times for United, is also their most decorated player, with 13 Premier League crowns, two Champions Leagues, four FA Cups and four League Cups.
The ‘Viva Ronaldo’ shout has been modified by United supporters to praise Garnacho. However, Ince, a former United midfielder, believes the 19-year-old winger is more akin to Giggs, his former teammate.
“Forget about Alejandro Garnacho’s incredible goal against Everton,” Ince remarked. His true strength is that his initial instinct when he receives the ball is to outscore an opponent.
