Following an impressive start to the season, Michael Olise of Crystal Palace is reportedly being watched by Liverpool.
Another look at Liverpool’s future is imminent as they must find a substitute for Mohamed Salah
The attacker will miss a minimum of four Reds games while travelling with Egypt for the African Cup of Nations. If the Pharaohs make it out of the group stages, he would miss seven Liverpool games (perhaps up to ten, depending on the outcome of the FA Cup and replays)
Having to find a temporary substitute for the 31-year-old when he participated in the continental competition back in January 2022, Jurgen Klopp has experience with this situation. That time, Salah would miss six games due to injury. In his place, Kaide Gordon, Takumi Minamino, Diogo Jota, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would alternately start for the Reds, winning five and drawing the other.
Jota, Dominik Szoboszlai, Luis Diaz, Harvey Elliott, and Cody Gakpo are now senior alternatives, so Klopp isn’t too concerned about losing Salah for the upcoming month.
