Manchester United and Liverpool are expected to fight it out for Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, with both teams thinking about making an offer, according to FootballTransfers.
After suffering an injury against Brentford in December, the dynamic 22-year-old is anticipated to remain at Selhurst Park for the current January transfer window; however, a departure is anticipated after the end of the current campaign.
We are aware that Olise has a £60 million release clause in his contract with Crystal Palace. The South London team is uncompromising in their demands that this price be paid in order for any interested parties to be able to hire the much sought-after winger.
Man Utd has been keeping a close eye on Olise’s development, particularly in light of Ineos’ next hiring spree, which is expected to bring in some of the best local talent available, as the Evening Standard first revealed.
With an eye towards the long term, Liverpool has identified Olise as a strategic target for the right-wing position, with the goal of maybe succeeding Mohamed Salah—whose contract expires in 2026 and he will turn 32 in June—at the negotiating table.
When does Michale Olise’s deal expire?
Despite earlier rumours that Olise might leave Crystal Palace during the most recent summer transfer window, the winger decided to stay there by signing a long-term contract extension that would keep him at Selhurst Park until 2027.
In the summer, Liverpool is reportedly interested in Leeds attacker Crysencio Summerville in addition to Olise, though it’s unclear if they will acquire both players. Due to their impressive play this season, the two players are expected to leave ways with their current club in the forthcoming transfer window.
