Conor Bradley and Bobby Clark honoured the Liverpool fans who travelled far on Sunday following their team’s Emirates FA Cup victory against Arsenal.
Over 7,000 supporters travelled to North London to witness Jürgen Klopp’s team defeat the Gunners 2-0 and secure their spot in the fourth round.
Ten minutes from the end, Jakub Kiwior’s own goal gave the game the lead, and Luis Diaz’s stoppage-time goal sealed the victory.
Klopp substituted Bradley and Clark for the final fifteen minutes apiece, and the Academy products each contributed to the victory.
The two afterwards discussed their experience of winning such a significant game in front of a joyful away end with Liverpoolfc.com.
“They were class,” said Clark, who was playing in his first senior game of the year. “When that first goal went in, scenes!”
Bradley went on, “They are amazing! The away supporters are consistently outstanding and amazing.”
After being substituted at right-back, Bradley, 20, played admirably against the vivacious Gabriel Martinelli.
“I attempted to compel him to enter,” declared the Northern Ireland player. Trent urged me to push him inside and he’ll be there to cover me as soon as I came on. I simply tried to do that whenever he attempted to challenge me. I’m glad I think I handled myself against him okay.
“[Klopp] was just telling us to play good defence, be authentic, and communicate.” You must always be at your best since they are all elite players.”
He continued: “There’s been some really good results recently and again today, 2-0 at Arsenal away, it’s obviously a great game.”
