Jurgen Klopp talked about a past FA Cup run-in matchup between Arsenal and Everton, his rivals from Merseyside. This was done ahead of Sunday night’s FA Cup match.
“Curtis Jones hit that ball into the far corner during our FA Cup match against Everton four years ago. We were playing a very young team, Everton, in a derby, and we miraculously won this game. It was one of the best nights of our lives. I loved it,” he remarked.
“However, given Arsenal’s current circumstances, can you go to Arsenal and take on a team of boys who will most likely give it their all? Naturally, no.
Klopp made it clear that there would be no player rests in light of the busy schedule that lies ahead.
“Every member of our team, present in the same changing area, is prepared for battle. Without a doubt, that is the reality, he stated.
“We need to make sure we win, but I can’t rest a player on Sunday for the Wednesday game after six days [without a game], and definitely not for the [next] Premier League match [against AFC Bournemouth] in 16 days. That is nonsensical.
And rhythm is a crucial component. We will thus give it our all against Arsenal and wait and see.
