The main narrative surrounding the Lakers going into the offseason was LeBron James’ future. Los Angeles has made a strong argument for James to choose to stay in his present contract or sign another one when free agency opens up in the NBA.
JJ Redick, co-host of James’ podcast, was appointed head coach of the Lakers. Los Angeles followed up on this action a week later by drafting James’ son Bronny James. If James decides not to sign this package deal in order to play for a different team the next season, it would be shocking.
