Fox News claims that a leaked video purports to show Indiana Fever standout Caitlin Clark pushing Washington Mystics player Julie Vanloo.

According to Fox News, the incident happened during the second quarter of the WNBA game on July 10.

In the footage, Vanloo is seen pushing Clark after they come into contact when Clark was attempting to catch a pass.

The violence of WNBA games has been a source of concern throughout the season. Video from June 1 shows Clark getting blocked from behind by Chicago Sky player Chennedy Carter.

Vanloo has “been a key player for the Belgian National Team during their rise to the top tier of international teams,” according to Washington Mystics General Manager Mike Thibault, who described her as “a terrific shooter who can play both guard spots” in a press release announcing her signing to the team in February 2024. As per the press release, she is a product of Belgium and participated in the Turkish Super League during the 2023–24 season.

“Like a lot of our players, she has the versatility we value to play multiple positions,” Thibault continued in the press release.
Some supporters believed that Caitlin Clark received different treatment than other players when she got physical.
One admirer commented on X beneath the video, saying, “If anybody else did something like this it would’ve been the end of the world smh.”

“She has always had bad temper, but in order to maintain this perception of her, the media doesn’t address it. She gave this woman three real shoves. Smh,” a second user commented on X.
Someone commented on X, asking, “Can I also call her the names y’all call Angel for this or do the rules work differently here?”
