Just In : Good news from Red Bull f1 coach……and why…

Max Verstappen calls Mercedes’ move “very complex,” as Toto Wolff bides his time.

Martin Brundle believes that Max Verstappen’s potential huge choice to switch from Red Bull to another team won’t be an easy one.

Despite having a deal with Red Bull that expires in 2028, Verstappen has been linked to a possible transfer to Mercedes because he has been hesitant to commit to the team in the long run.

With Lewis Hamilton leaving Mercedes for Ferrari, team manager Toto Wolff saw Verstappen as the best candidate to replace him. A spectacular Verstappen swap seemed to be more likely than anyone could have predicted a year ago.

The power units might have played a significant role in Verstappen’s thinking. Red Bull is marginally more risky than Mercedes’ power units due to the company’s inability to firstly comply with regulations after losing its Honda power at the end of 2025 and turning into a manufacturer of power units when Red Bull Powertrains goes online.
