John Force, a legendary figure in NHRA racing, recently announced his departure from John Force Racing, the team he founded and has led for many years.

This decision comes after a severe crash at the NHRA Virginia Nationals, where Force’s car experienced an engine explosion and a significant fire. Force, 75, has been in recovery from a traumatic brain injury sustained in the cras.

Force, who has won 157 races and 16 NHRA World Championships, is currently in a neuro-intensive care unit as he continues to recover. His daughter Brittany Force, also a drag racer, opted out of a recent event to stay by his side during his recovery.
