REPORT: Dallas Cowboys gives Update On Dak Prescott’s Contract Demands.

The Dallas Cowboys have put themselves in a difficult situation. Since Dak Prescott took over as the starting quarterback in 2016, the Cowboys have become one of the most bizarre anomalies in the NFL. Every season, Prescott plays as well as any of the best quarterbacks in the league for the first 17 games, but chokes in the playoffs and the Cowboys are eliminated early. However, play calling under Mike McCarthy changed after Kellen Moore was fired, and the offense took off, with Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (who was named to the First Team All-Pro team in 2023) emerging as the best QB/WR combination in the league.

Given that Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow each earn $55 million annually, Prescott may be expecting a large salary.
The explosive passer is looking at free agency after this season if he and the Dallas Cowboys are unable to reach an agreement on a new contract. He inked his previous contract prior to the 2021 campaign.
Regardless of how well Prescott performs this season, there won’t be a shortage of suitors eager to sign him as their franchise quarterback after 2024 and willing to pay his asking price.

With all the power currently in his hands, Prescott may choose to sign a contract with Dallas should the Cowboys
