This summer, Chelsea is in danger of losing one of their budding talents.

Chelsea has had a largely successful transfer window thus far.

Even if they didn’t get Michael Olise, for instance, the team was still able to sign a number of other players.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who recently joined Chelsea from Leicester City, is included in the above.

But one of the Blues’ most promising young players may be headed out of the team soon.

With so much potential, Chelsea’s academy is undoubtedly among, if not the best in the nation.

Right now, Rio Ngumoha is one of the most bright young people they have on their books, but maybe not for much longer.

The winger is expected to sign with Liverpool, but according to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea made every effort to cling onto him.

Speaking on Ngumoha’s predicament on Substack, Phillips stated: “According to SPTC sources close to the club, Chelsea feels like they have exhausted all options. There was some optimism on Friday that he could actually re-sign and stay.”

“Chelsea has really pushed and pulled out all the stops to try and make it happen,” the statement reads.

The journalist said that Manchester City and Bayern Munich were also considering recruiting the 15-year-old.

Chelsea might be sorry to lose Rio Ngumoha.
The summer transfer of Ngumoha to Liverpool, Bayern, or any other team will not be welcomed by Chelsea supporters.

Though he was a little older than Ngumoha at the time, they saw Jamal Musiala join the German giants and develop into one of the world’s most thrilling strikers.

It’s too soon to say if Ngumoha will succeed to that extent. However, the Chelsea young player is clearly headed in the correct direction because he has already practiced with the first team.
