Knicks’ Josh Hart hits Mikal Bridges with savage response after Nets recruitment
The Nets’ Mikal Bridges swung and missed on an attempt to jokingly recruit Knicks forward Josh Hart to Brooklyn.
Josh Hart, a forward with the New York Knicks, earned extra money by working as a commentator for ESPN when the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks faced off in the NBA Finals. Mikal Bridges, a swingman for the Brooklyn Nets, responded angrily to Hart’s lighthearted Instagram post about his new side project.
Occasionally, the two former Villanova teammates would lightheartedly poke fun at one another through the use of memes and lighthearted podcast comments.
Mikal Bridges makes a joke Instagram post reply in an attempt to recruit Josh Hart.
Josh Hart shared a set of images from his time as a guest analyst on ESPN’s NBA Countdown on Instagram. He captioned the images with the microphone emoji and wrote, “Might quit my day job.”
Then, in joke, Mikal Bridges encouraged Hart to play for the Brooklyn Nets. “Are you coming to the Nets?” asked Bridges. Hart, nevertheless, spoke quickly, “Are you okay? We’ll save you if they hold you as a hostage—just blink.”
Hart’s response might allude to the fact that he brought Bridges to the Knicks together with Jalen Brunson, a former teammate from Vilanova, after saving Bridges from the Nets. The trio of former Wildcats participated in the NCAA national championship runs in 2016 and 2018. Donte DiVincenzo, another former teammate, is a player with the Knicks.
