Ryan Gisriel is replaced as the President of Basketball Operations of the Brooklyn Nets by Justin Bokmeyer.

In the past, Bokmeyer committed his efforts to expanding basketball across the globe, particularly in Africa.

Ryan Gisriel left his position as the Brooklyn Nets’ president of basketball operations months ago.

In order to fill the position of vice president of basketball operations, the former president of basketball operations—who might be a lock for a general manager position somewhere—joined the Charlotte Hornets.

Gisriel has been employed for the Nets for ten years, having begun as an intern in the summer of 2023. He coordinated special initiatives for Billy King and afterwards worked as King’s assistant. Gisriel was subsequently elevated to the position of director of basketball operations after Sean Marks was hired as the Nets general manager.

As a result of these developments—which were somewhat delayed because of Gisriel’s departure in March—the Nets have appointed Justin Bokmeyer as their new president of basketball operations, according to The Athletic. Brooklyn was cautious not to decide on the next president immediately after Gisriel’s departure.

Bokmeyer was previously involved with the NBA’s foreign basketball operations.
He played a crucial role.
