The last several weeks have seen Arsenal lagging behind.
As Arsenal continues to struggle in front of goal, Ally McCoist has encouraged Mikel Arteta to buy Ivan Toney, no matter the cost.
The North London team had a strong start to the season, but they are currently going through a tough patch and are having trouble scoring goals even though they have had some excellent plays.
Arsenal, who had reasonable expectations going into the season to win the Premier League, is currently trailing Liverpool, Manchester City, and Aston Villa; McCoist thinks Toney can assist.
After serving a protracted sentence for gambling, the Brentford player is expected to return shortly, and the former Rangers player thinks he might be able to help Arteta’s team.
“Exactly what Arsenal needs is Ivan Toney.” He is an authentic, full-fledged centre forward. McCoist told Talksport BET, “He can get in the box and score goals, but he can also drop in and link the play if you want him to.”
Another player who possesses similar ability is Victor Osimhen, and he would be my first choice. But if the question is whether Arsenal should spend a lot of money to buy Ivan Toney.
