Liverpool enters the competition to sign the 25-year-old target of Arsenal who has contributed 13 goals.

Douglas Luiz, a midfielder for Aston Villa, has been linked to leaving the team at the end of the season, with Liverpool being named as a possible destination.

Liverpool is reportedly prepared to battle for the signing of the Brazilian midfielder in the summer, according to a Football Insider report. It would be intriguing to see if Liverpool can prevail in the competition for the player’s signature because Arsenal and Barcelona are also interested to get him.

It goes without saying that they need to sign a top-notch defensive midfield player to take the position of players like Fabinho and Jordan Henderson. This season, Liverpool has utilised Alexis Mac Allister in a holding role; yet, the Argentine international would be better served as a creative midfielder.

Liverpool has to look into adding a defensive midfield expert who can thwart offensive attempts from the opposition and shield the core defence. Luiz has a track record of success in the Premier League and could significantly enhance Liverpool.

In addition to his defensive abilities, the Brazilian can contribute goals and offer creative assistance. This season, he has seven goals and six assists in all competitions.

As he approaches his prime, the 25-year-old will want to compete at the greatest level. For him, the chance to sign with a major team like Liverpool would be alluring.

In the meantime, Arsenal needs to find Thomas Partey a long-term replacement, and the Brazilian fits the bill. He might be Declan Rice’s perfect mate.

The youngster will find Arsenal and Liverpool, who are vying for the league title, to be appealing destinations. It would be a thrilling professional advancement for him to join them.
