Although Willian is a legend in the Premier League, the less talked about his time at Arsenal, the better.

Even though the Brazilian has a lot of potential, he had a really bad season at Arsenal and it seemed like Old Father Time had finally caught up with him.

After just one year at the Emirates, Willian was moved to Brazil, and it appeared as though his career was gone after he failed to live up to expectations while playing for Corinthians.
But last summer, Fulham moved in and signed the winger on deadline day, giving him a lifeline.
At this point in his career, nobody was expecting much from Willian, yet for some reason, he’s turned things around and is now among Fulham’s top players.
Paul Merson, writing in his Sportskeeda blog, has been all love for Willian, expressing how surprised he is by his comeback at Fulham. Merson claims to have assumed that Willian would fade away after his time at Arsenal.

Regarding the Fulham winger, the pundit expressed his opinion.
“This season, Willian has been outstanding for Fulham.” I honestly believed that after his lacklustre time at Arsenal, he would fade away, therefore it is quite impressive that someone his age can still perform at the highest level. Willian is a perfect fit for Fulham; certain players are suited for particular teams,” Merson stated.
