Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has 18 months left on his present contract at the Emirates Stadium.
According to reports, Arsenal and manager Mikel Arteta are “relaxed” about the manager’s future and are not in a rush to conclude a new contract.
The Spaniard is now in the final 18 months of his deal at the Emirates Stadium and has made steady progress during his four years in the job, winning the FA Cup during his first year in charge, while last season’s second-place finish in the Premier League marked the Gunners’ best league campaign since the 2015-16 season.
Prior to Christmas, Arsenal was leading the Premier League; however, a bad run of results, including just one league victory in their past five games, caused them to fall to fourth position. However, no panic buttons are being pulled in the Emirates boardroom, according to Fabrizio Romano.
According to Romano’s Caught Offside column, the team is “very happy” with his management and “not in a rush” to get him to sign a new contract. He continues, saying that as he begins his sixth season in the Emirates dugout, Arteta personally “loves” Arsenal.
