Despite murmurs of interest, Paul Merson thinks Arsenal will prevent their out-of-favour player from signing for Chelsea, Liverpool, or Manchester United this month.

As the truth about Chelsea and Liverpool's transfers is revealed, Paul Merson makes a daring £52 million prediction for Arsenal.

Paul Merson, who feels that a move to Chelsea, Liverpool, or Manchester United is unlikely, has urged Aaron Ramsdale to regain Mikel Arteta’s trust. The 25-year-old goalie, who lost his spot in the starting lineup to David Raya, has been strongly linked to leaving the Emirates Stadium.

With two and a half years left on his North London contract, Ramsdale has only made five Premier League appearances for the Gunners this season, one of which was against Brentford—a match in which Raya was not permitted to play against his parent team.

Ramsdale has failed to establish himself again in Arteta’s lineup despite his strong on-field performances, and Merson has urged him to stay put even though he may be inclined to find a new club this month. The former Arsenal midfielder stated, as cited by the Metro, that Chelsea, Liverpool, or Manchester United would not be able to sign him when he spoke on Sky Sports.

“Keeper signed a contract, it’s the way it rolls,” stated Merson. “It’s terrible, but things are as they are. He agreed to a contract. They added another goaltender, who is currently ranked first. It’s that simple: he has to battle for his place.

“It is not acceptable to sign contracts worth £100,000 or £150,000 a week and then claim that you are not a member of the team. Tomorrow morning, I’m heading out; I want to play somewhere else. For goalies, it’s a horrible situation. Having two first-rate goalkeepers is quite rare, but Arsenal has both.

“However, where will you be going? You are not travelling to Manchester United or Liverpool. I see Chelsea as the only one, and I don’t see Arsenal selling to Chelsea.
