Arkansas has selected their lineup for the SEC Media Days, which will take place in Dallas, Texas, from July 15–18. Landon Jackson, Taylen Green, and Andrew Armstrong are among them, along with Sam Pittman, their head coach.
For the first time in his tenure, Pittman is sending all past transfers to represent the university. Jackson, who has spent more time at Arkansas than at LSU, will go to the Hogs’ second SEC Media Days. His decision to play one more season at Arkansas has cemented his leadership, as he has developed into one of the team’s most important roles. For the first time, the other two are addressing the SEC media.
In addition, Armstrong has become the team’s top receiver and gained the respect of his peers. Despite perhaps being underutilized the previous season, he still managed to gain over 700 yards. His numbers might increase with Green as his quarterback and Bobby Petrino as his offensive coordinator.
Speaking of Green, he expected to be a leader when he arrived on the Hill. He was clearly ahead in the position struggle from the start, but he overcame it by his leadership both on and off the field. He needs to show it on the field, but as an SEC quarterback, he’s very underestimated.
On July 18, Sam Pittman will be the first coach to address the media. Hugh Freeze, Mark Stoops, and Mike Elko will then follow.
