BRAKING NEWS: With the exception of Jacob Webb, the Orioles offer contracts to all players who are eligible for arbitration.
The Orioles were among the teams with the biggest decisions to make before Friday, when teams had to decide whether or not to offer 2025 contracts to their arbitration-eligible players.
At this stage of the offseason, the Orioles have more arbitration years than any other team. In 2025, 12 out of the 13 players were tendered. Jacob Webb, who is currently a free agent after being non-tendered, was the one who wasn’t.
The Orioles reached a $1 million 2025 contract settlement with arbitration-eligible Emmanuel Rivera in another action related to this procedure. Another reminder that I don’t know anything is that I believed he was the most likely candidate to be non-tendered. After the Marlins dismissed Rivera, he performed effectively at the plate in 27 games with the O’s, but I’m not sure how the righty-batting corner infielder will fit into the 2025 plans.
Keegan Akin, Kyle Bradish, Dean Kremer, Jorge Mateo, Ryan Mountcastle, Cedric Mullins, Rivera, Trevor Rogers, Adley Rutschman, Gregory Soto, Ramón Urías, and Tyler Wells are the Orioles’ complete list of players who were formally tendered today.
