Lakers News: The four-time all-star wants to be on LeBron James’ team.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ roster still requires improvement as they proceed with their summer. This past season, the Lakers sacked head coach Darvin Ham after an early playoff exit and appointed former NBA guard JJ Redick in his place.

Redick might be more adept at making the most of the roster, but the team’s talent still needs improvement. In terms of roster construction, Los Angeles has put itself in a difficult situation, thus general manager Rob Pelinka will need to work hard.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis are still key members of the team, which gives them a fighting shot regardless of who else is on the field. However, the Lakers’ celebrity cast lends them legitimacy in the league, which may entice other teams to sign with them.

When asked which contemporary NBA player he would love to partner up with, Draymond Green, a great forward for the Golden State Warriors, readily mentioned LeBron James during the ESPYs.

Anyone who has been paying attention should not be surprised by Green’s response, given he and James have been close friends for a long time. Given that they are two of the NBA’s most competitive players, matching the two would provide for some great entertainment.

This is unlikely to happen, though, as both players recently inked new contracts with their respective organizations. Never say never, but it will remain a pipe dream until one of the two wants to insist on a trade with the opposing team.
