Nadal has declared that he will not participate in Wimbledon in 2024.

Rafa Nadal is absent from Wimbledon this year, as the Spanish player aims to make a mark at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

However, Wimbledon will deeply feel the absence of Rafa Nadal, who triumphed at the tournament in 2008 and 2010.

The Spanish player has faced recurring injury challenges this year and formally opted out of Wimbledon following his early exit from the French Open.

Nadal, renowned as the ‘King of Clay’, has redirected his focus towards competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics, which will be hosted at Roland Garros later this month.

At 38 years old, Nadal has secured an astonishing 14 Grand Slam titles in Paris, making his readiness to return to the French clay courts a top priority.

Nadal explained, “With this objective in mind, we’ve concluded that it’s best for my body to stay on clay until then. That’s why I’ve made the decision to skip Wimbledon this year.”

“I’m disappointed not to experience the fantastic atmosphere of that incredible event this year, an event that will always hold a special place in my heart, and to be with all the British fans who have always supported me so well.”

“I will miss all of you.”
