Concerns over the futures of some of the team’s players are cause for anxiety, but Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp advises fans “to stay calm.”

Last week, Klopp made the announcement that he will leave his position at the end of the current campaign.

Virgil van Dijk’s contract expires in the summer of 2025, and he has expressed uncertainty regarding his continued employment at the team once Klopp leaves.

The boys adore this location. I’m positive about that,” remarked Klopp.

“It’s not that they have one foot out.”

In November, Klopp informed Liverpool’s owners that he would be leaving, and on January 26, he made the announcement public.

In addition, the contracts of Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, a defender, and forward Mohamed Salah are set to expire in the summer of 2025.

“The club has been aware of my departure for some time. “They could have taken advantage of the time and secured new contracts for the players,” said Klopp, before of Wednesday’s match against Chelsea.

“When I mention, ‘I’m not here anymore,’ they respond, ‘nobody told us that.'” That’s not how you function, especially not in our relationship.

“There’s enough time to do everything.”

2. Has Van Dijk reached his peak again?
Klopp went on to say that more details would be given “behind the scenes” to those at Anfield.

“It was always evident that you wouldn’t have time to process anything outside of yourself. “What are you doing? It’s just the next thing,” the 56-year-old German continued.

“Please, give us a moment. We need to establish a viewpoint and discuss things like what will happen next if I stay here. That is entirely typical.

“There’s no need to worry. Because you [the media] can’t wait for these kinds of questions, I knew it would come.

“I’m positive that everything will work out because this club is stable.”

“We need to finish this, answer your questions, and provide some closure. That’s the reality.

“I would advise our folks to maintain composure.

“At this particular moment, there is nothing to be concerned about. We are in this season, and all of these discussions could be a potential diversion for it.

“It is the boys’ human right to reflect on things. This is what you ought to do just before deciding on anything, and it’s quite acceptable.”

Salah will not play for Chelsea or Arsenal.
While representing Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations, Salah had a hamstring injury. He later returned to the club for treatment.

His return to the national squad was supposed to happen when he recovered, but Egypt was eliminated from the competition after losing to DR Congo on penalties.

“Mo is not ready for this [Chelsea] game, [or] the next game [at Arsenal],” Klopp stated.

“He’s got injuries. Muscle injuries require time to heal. He’s not available right now, but it could have been much worse. He’s only getting better.”
