Manuela Zinsberger, the custodian for Arsenal, just inked a new deal with the team and stated that she is “not done yet” and can “still grow”.
After winning the League Cup in 2023, the 28-year-old, who joined the Gunners in 2019, has participated in 11 of the team’s 12 Women’s Super League games. She is eager to have further success with the team.
At the beginning of a momentous year, Zinsberger has pledged her future to the club: she and her spouse will be welcoming a child this summer.
The goalkeeping situation at Arsenal has also been the subject of much conjecture. Several sources have stated that the club is considering England’s Mary Earps, who has six months left on her Manchester United contract.
However, Zinsberger is unconcerned by that. The Austrian custodian claims that she can “combine everything” in terms of balancing responsibilities on and off the pitch, even with major changes on the horizon in her personal life.
“It’s difficult for me to express my feelings,” Zinsberger said to BBC Sport.
“It’s amazing how the team is growing on the women’s football side of things and how much each player is putting in.
“I’m just excited to see where Arsenal’s women’s team can take its game. I’m not done yet; I have potential and can still develop as a person off the pitch. I’m not comfortable here.
“I sense that throughout the entire team as well. We wish to demand more. I’m prepared for the adventure, to accomplish certain objectives and gather some awards.”

Zinsberger has come under fire on social media since Arsenal has been frequently linked to Earps, but she has not let it stop her.
“Social media is everywhere and you are under scrutiny but that’s part of football,” Zinsberger stated.
It is more crucial for me to concentrate on myself, on the things I can manage, and on communicating with the club, Jonas, the goalkeeping coach, and myself.
“What’s happening on social media worldwide… I’m not really giving it that much thought. Something appears, disappears after two months, and then reappears after that.
“I obviously notice things like that, but I really try to keep my attention on myself and my personal growth. I want to perform at my highest level on the pitch, reach my goals, and record more clean sheets.
“If the club and Jonas grant me their trust, which I fully understand, I won’t have time to worry about anything else. As a football player, you have to deal with certain situations because you are aware of how life can be. That is typical.
I am aware of my value and my potential.
Zinsberger says there are “so many things” she wants to focus on, like her footwork, reaction stops, handling crosses, bravery, and regularly recording clean sheets.
She delivered on Sunday, helping Arsenal defeat Liverpool 2-0 to stay three points behind the league leaders Chelsea.
“I have a huge list. That does not imply that I confine myself. I am aware of my value and my potential. Just ready to accomplish other things,” she continued.
Her goals include winning more trophies with Arsenal, especially the WSL championship, which Chelsea has won four times in a row.
“We’re all set to take the helm of the table. If my goal was to be lower, I wouldn’t be a football player. “I want to achieve the best outcome I can,” Zinsberger declared.
