Arsenal starts a transfer plan and moves quickly to try to beat Manchester United to a £34 million striker.

Current rumours and news regarding transfers involving Arsenal include reports that Mikel Arteta’s group is interested in signing Joshua Zirkzee, a former striker for Bayern Munich, from Bologna; Manchester United is also mentioned.

According to reports, Joshua Zirkzee has been signed by Arsenal, marking the beginning of their strategy to defeat Manchester United.

During the January transfer window, there has been conjecture over the future of the Bologna striker. Premier League rivals United are also in need of a new forward, so it appears that Arsenal is not the only team interested in potentially acquiring Zirkzee.

Corriere dello Sport has stated that Arsenal has notified Bologna of their intention to sign Zirkzee, the striker, but not until the summer transfer window. This marks the first step in the signing process.

According to the report, the Gunners have informed the 22-year-old’s present team that they are willing to pay more than €40 million (£34 million) to sign him.

The article also mentions Man United, who are prepared to spend the aforementioned fee to recruit Zirkzee in the summer.

Zirkzee, who was traded by Bayern Munich to Bologna in the summer of 2022, has since made 43 appearances for the Serie A team, tallying 10 goals.

Zirkzee’s contract contains a €40 million (£34 million) release clause, but only his old team, Bayern, may trigger it, according to a recent report from Football Italia. It continues by stating that Bayern would be entitled to 40% of the transfer money in the event that Zirkzee is sold to another team.

There have also been rumours that Zirkzee is interested in joining with Napoli and AC Milan. In his 22 Serie A outings this season, the striker has netted eight goals, including one on Saturday night against Milan.

During the January transfer window, Arsenal has been strongly linked to the potential of adding a striker. But with the deadline approaching on Thursday, it is more likely than not that Mikel Arteta and company will start the second half of the season with Kai Havertz, Eddie Nketiah, and Gabriel Jesus as their primary center-forward options.
