Max Vestappen Has Released The Following Statement Regarding D….

Red Bull Racing’s star driver Max Verstappen has addressed the recent controversy surrounding the Drag Reduction System (DRS) usage during the qualifying session at the Canadian Grand Prix. The Dutch driver released a public statement earlier today, aiming to clarify his position amid growing media speculation and fan debate.

**“There have been a lot of questions about what happened with the DRS during Q2,”** Verstappen said. **“I want to be clear — there was no intention to gain an unfair advantage. We had a technical issue, and the team followed all FIA procedures.”**

During the session, Verstappen’s RB20 was seen repeatedly opening the DRS flap under conditions some believed were outside the permitted zones. Although no formal protest was lodged, several rival teams reportedly expressed concerns to the FIA about possible misinterpretation of DRS regulations.

**Verstappen emphasized** that the team is cooperating fully with the FIA’s review: **“We’re in constant communication with the stewards and the technical delegates. I have full confidence in the team and the process. I respect the rules and want to win fair and square.”**

Red Bull Racing has yet to issue an official team statement, but insiders suggest that the issue may have stemmed from a sensor glitch rather than deliberate misconduct.

The FIA has confirmed that a technical investigation is underway and that results will be made public before Sunday’s race.

With Verstappen currently leading the Drivers’ Championship, any disciplinary action could shake up the standings just as the season reaches its midpoint. Fans and analysts alike are awaiting the FIA’s final word.
